£23,000 for Fractured Wrist

Mr A was visiting his girlfriend’s flat when he fell into a manhole, fracturing his wrist. The Landlord knew the manhole cover was damaged prior to the accident but instead of repairing it simply placed a piece of wood over the top.

Although the Landlord’s insurance company admitted they had broken the law, they disputed that Mr A had in fact injured himself in the fall.

Following a fierce dispute James Winterbottom of Aston Knight Solicitors was able to disprove the Landlord’s evidence and then negotiate a settlement of £23,000.00.
