Successfully defended a breach of contract claim brought by a promotor against a local singer

Ms T was part of a girl band and had entered into a contract with a promotor.  When he failed to provide the services she had been assured of she wished to move on and end the agreement.  However, when she tried to do so he issued court proceedings against her.

She sought assistance from Aston Knight Solicitors and following detailed review of the contract we identified a number of useful points that could be made to defend the case.  We filed a robust defence, including a counterclaim, after which further discussions took place resulting in the promotor agreeing to drop his claim.
